Your information, in plain English.

We’re a small workshop, not an ad network. We collect only what we need to build your grill, get it to you, and help you after it arrives. Here’s exactly what that means.

What we collect

The information we hold.

Information you give us

When you place an order, register a grill, ask for support, or sign up for our newsletter, you may share your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, order number, and which model you own. Warranty registrations are stored in our own database so we can find your build if you ever call.

Payment information

Checkout and payments are handled by Shopify (and, if you choose, Shop Pay or Affirm). We never see or store your full card number — that stays with the payment processor.

Information collected automatically

Like most sites, we and our service providers use cookies and similar technology to keep your cart working, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though some features (like the cart) need them to function.

Analytics, only if you say yes

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site: which pages help, where people get stuck, and what to improve. These tools stay completely off until you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent. You can change your mind any time with the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Session recordings in Clarity mask what you type, so the words you enter in forms are never captured.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Build, fulfill, and deliver your order, and keep you updated.
  • Provide support and honor warranty coverage.
  • Send our newsletter, but only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe any time from the link in every email.
  • Prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
  • Improve the products and the shopping experience.
Who we share it with

Our service providers.

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the partners that help us run the business, and only with what they need:

  • Shopify — checkout, payments, and order management.
  • Freight and parcel carriers — to schedule and deliver your grill.
  • Mailchimp — to send our newsletter to subscribers who opted in.
  • Judge.me — to collect and display product reviews if you choose to leave one.
  • Google Analytics & Microsoft Clarity— usage analytics, and only after you accept the cookie banner. See “Analytics, only if you say yes” above.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.

Your choices

What you can ask us to do.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — just email ignite@gathergrills.com and we’ll take care of it. We keep order and warranty records as long as needed to support your purchase and meet our legal obligations.

We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

Updates to this policy.
